Nicola Marangi - Assistant Restaurant Manager

Nicola Marangi was born on the 6th of July 1971 in Martina Franca (Taranto) in the Southern region of Puglia Italy.

In 1984 Nicola attended Scuola Alberghiera Di Castellana Grotte (bari) Sezione Sala/Bar.

In 1985 Nicola spent his time as a trainee waiter at a local restaurant “La Rotonda” in Martina Franca. This was a large family restaurant that seated up to 240 guests.

From 1987 — 1990 Nicola worked at “Chef the Rang” at the Park Hotel San Michele in Martina Franca (four stars). Nicola developed a taste for silver service, gueridon service and was responsible for up to eight wait staff and four sommeliers.

From 1990 — 1991 Nicola completed Military service at Terzo Roc (aviation) as headwaiter for Generals and Colonels. During this time he acquired a diploma for his outstanding service.

After this time, Nicola spent the next three years working at “Chez Vous” as a team leader of up to twelve waiters for mobile receptions. He worked in numerous hotels and reception halls catering for various weddings and congresses.

From 1994 — 2003 Nicola worked full time in London at “City Limits Restaurant and Wine Bar” as a bar manager. It was here that he developed knowledge of various international wines and spirits.

Since 2003 Nicola has been working at Scusami. He began as a waiter and became assistant manager in 2005. He is very proud to be a part of the team.
