Alberto Fava - Senior Chef

Born in Ferrara in 1980 in Emilia Romagna region of Italy, Alberto graduated in 1999 at the "Instituto Alberghiero Orio Vergani’ in Ferrara.

Alberto then spent one year at the restaurant “Cristane” in Verona where his passion for food became his new life ambition.

He spent the following years working in various restaurants in his region "Emilia Romagna"’

In 2003 Alberto went to London where he worked in four-star hotel "Thistle" as sous chef.

In 2004 he arrived in Melbourne and began working at "Sirens" a local restaurant. Alberto was quickly intrigued by the fresh produce available in the area and developed a love for the Australian city of Melbourne.

In 2005 Alberto began working at "Scusami", where he met his current executive chef Jonathan Alston. Alberto’s driving ambition has seen him rise to senior chef. He continues to enjoy working with Alston and the challenge that "Scusami" provides.
